Esch-sur-Alzette modernizes its parking signage with LED screens by HTVLED
The digitalization of urban spaces is progressing rapidly, and public parking lots are no exception. To offer a seamless, modern, and intuitive experience to its users, the City of Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg) called upon HTVLED to equip the City Hall parking lot with a dynamic LED display system.
Thanks to the integration of several high-brightness indoor LED screens, the site's signage is now entirely digital, facilitating access, payment and understanding of the user journey.
A solution designed for high-traffic areas
In an environment such as a public parking lot, information must be clear, visible, and up-to-date at all times. The issue is not merely aesthetic: it is also about streamlining traffic flow, minimizing friction points, and providing drivers with a clear interface upon arrival.
To meet this need, HTVLED installed full-color LED screens in high-traffic areas: entrances, elevators, and self-checkout zones. These screens display access instructions, contactless payment information, visuals related to the CityApp Esch application, as well as accompanying advertising or institutional messages.
Modern support for a smart solution
This project is part of the launch of the contactless parking system in Esch-sur-Alzette. Thanks to the CityApp Esch mobile application, users can enter, park, and pay without handling a ticket or going to a payment terminal. The LED screen here becomes a real-time educational tool, illustrating each step of the process and reassuring users unfamiliar with this type of solution.
Thanks to the high brightness and strong contrast of the screens, the visuals are legible even in parking lots partially open to natural light. The installation was designed to adapt to the architecture of the space, with wall-mounted screens seamlessly integrated into passageways without disrupting traffic flow or the existing layout.
A quick and careful installation
The project was carried out in coordination with the city's technical teams and the mobility provider to ensure a smooth implementation. Installation was completed in just a few days, with particular attention paid to the robustness of the equipment, the discreetness of the cabling, and the software configuration allowing for easy content updates.
The screens are connected to a remote management interface, which allows the visuals to be changed at any time, depending on events, local news or city information campaigns.

Signage that enhances the city's image
By opting for dynamic LED screens, Esch-sur-Alzette affirms its commitment to offering modern, practical, and environmentally friendly services, reflecting the tagline used in the campaign: "Easy, smart, and eco-friendly." Dynamic displays effectively reduce paper usage while ensuring responsive and targeted communication.
This type of installation perfectly illustrates how LED technologies can enhance the efficiency of urban infrastructure while improving the user experience.
